Dodge Hula Motion Lamp 1940's Original

Dodge Hula Motion Lamp 1940's Original

Here is an original and working 1940s motion Hula girl lamp made by Dodge Inc of Chicago The lamp has lovely patina with the copper-bronze colored finish showing through.  It has a 3-way switch so you can have the light on only, the light and the dancing, or just the hula dancing. While the lamp is totally original, it does have a new motor, new hula skirt, and new cloth covered wire. There is a small repaired break at the feet but the inside of the lamp has been reinforced to make it 100% solid.

The shade is not original but is included in the sale.

I couldn't find the history of these lamps on the web but I've been told that back in the 1930-40's they were displayed in taverns and used as pull tab and gambling prizes.

Size is 24” tall with the shade attached.
